2 c flour or cake flour
2 c sugar
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup water
3/4 c buttermilk
1/2 c shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
4 oz baking chocolate ( or 3/4 cup cocoa and 4 T shortening)
Directions:

Melt chocolate and let cool.
Mix all together and mix for 2 min, scraping sides of bowl.
Bake 350º, 9x13 = 40-45 min, 2, 9" round = 30-35 min. cool and frost
