1/2 pound bacon, chopped
1 C. sugar
1 1/3 C. white vinegar
5 tsp. cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon until crisp. Drain bacon and leave bacon drippings in skillet. Add sugar and vinegar to skillet, stirring well. Add one cup water and bring to a boil. Mix cornstarch and 2/3 cup water and stir until dissolved. Pour cornstarch mixture into the skillet with the dressing. Return to boil; simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and toss salad with warm dressing.
