3 c. sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1/2 c. hot water
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
1 tsp. vanilla
chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, syrup, and hot water and boil until mixture forms a thread. Take out 1/2 c. and beat it into the stiffly beaten egg whites. boil remainder of sugar mixture until it forms a hard ball. Beat all together and add vanilla and nuts. Drop small spoonfuls onto waxed paper.

Daddy was crazy about Mother's divinity. It looks beautiful on a tray of Christmas candy, interspersed with fudge and fondant.
