1/2 c. flour(sifted and measured, then sifted four times)
1 c. sugar
6 eggs, separated
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Add salt to egg yolks and beat until thick and lemon color. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add half the cream of tartar to egg whites and half to flour. Fold sugar into whites. Add yolks, then vanilla and then flour. Bake at 350º for about 45 minutes.
