1 1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tblsp. butter
1/2 cup milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 square chocolate
1/2 cup nutmeats

Topping :

2 tblsp. cocoa
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup boiling water

Directions:
Preheat oven 350º Sift and measure flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Melt chocolate and butter. Mix with milk and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients. Add nuts. Pour into well greased pyrex dish. Cover with topping. Topping. Mix together cocoa, brown sugar and 1/2 cup sugar. Spread over top of cake batter. Pour the boiling water over all and place in oven. Bake 1 hour. Serve warm
