2 1/4 cps flour
3/4 cp granulated sugar
3/4 cp cold butter, cubed
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 cp sour cream
1 tsp almond extract

filling:
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cp granulated sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
1/2 cp slivered almonds
Directions:
Directions:
1) In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar.
2) Cut in butter until crumbly.
3) Reserve 3/4 cp crumb mixture.
4) Add baking powder, baking soda and salt to remaining crumb mixture.
5) Stir in the egg, sour cream and almond extract until blended.
6) Press onto bottom and 1 inch up the sides of an 9 inch ungreased springform pan with removable bottom.
7) For filling, in a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar for 1 min.
8) Add egg; beat just until combined.
9) Spread over crust.
10) Carefully top with pie filling.
11) Sprinkle with almonds and reserved crumb mixture.
12) Bake 350 f for 50 to 60 mins or until center is set.
13) Carefully run a knife around the edge of pan to loosen; remove sides of pan.
14) Store in refrigerator.
