"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

1 box vanilla pudding
3/4 c. oil

Directions:
Directions:
Day 1: 1 1/2 c. starter, add 2 1/2 c. sugar and large can sliced peaches (cut up)

Day 10: Add large can chunk pineapple and 2 1/2 c. sugar

Day 20: Add 20 oz. maraschino cherries.

Stir mixture daily. Do not refrigerate. Cover loosely

Day 30: Drain fruit for 2 hours adding 1 large can of fruit cocktail (drained)

Save starter which needs to be refrigerated until used again.

Divide fruit evenly--- should be enough for 4 cakes.

Cake- 1 yellow cake mix (I use lemon also), 1 small box instant vanilla pudding (lemon is good with lemon cake mix), 3/4 c. oil, 4 eggs.

Mix together cake mix, pudding, oil, eggs. Fold in fruit. Pour into well-greased bundt pan.

Bake at 350º for 1 hour or until done. Cool 15 minutes. Remove from pans.
