Dried fruits such as figs, apricots, dates, prunes
Things to stuff fruit with: fondant, peanut butter, candied orange peel, walnuts or cherries.
To make fondant: use 1 beaten egg whie, 1 Tbs water, 3/4 tsp vanilla, and 2 cups confectioner's sugar. Mix the ingredients.

Steam the fruit for about 5 minutes in a colander, over a pot of boiling water, until the fruit is plump but not too soft. Make slits in the fruit and then stuff with your choice of ingredients.
