1 box of 8 hash brown patties
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup chopped onion (or minced onion)
1 cup milk
1 cup sour cream
salt and pepper
1/12 cups shredded cheddar cheese

crushed potato chips to add later

Directions:
Directions:
Lay hash brown patties at bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Combine soup, onion, milk, sour cream and salt and pepper. Cook on stove until mixture boils and thickens. Cool slightly. Pour over hash brown patties and top with shredded cheese. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Sprinkle potato chips on top and bake another 20 minutes.
