3 lbs boneless round steak (cut into serving size pieces)
1/3 C. flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp ground mustard
3 T. vegetable oil
3 T. butter or margarine
1 1/2 C. water
1 1/2 C. (12oz) sour cream
1 C. finely chopped onion
2 - garlic cloves, minced
1/3 C soy sauce
1/4 to 1/3 C. packed brown sugar
3 T flour

Directions:
In a shallow bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika and mustard; dredge the steak pieces in the flour mixture. In a large skillet, heat oil and butter. Cook steak on both sides until browned, add water, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Combine sour cream, onion, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar and 3 T flour; stir until smooth. Put steak in a large baking dish,(or leave in oven proof skillet) pour sour cream over steak. Cover and bake @ 325 º for 1 1/2 hours until tender. Serves 6-8

Necessity is the mother of invention! We found this recipe when we opened up the wrapper on a sirloin tip roast, and found round steaks instead! It is good and very tasty! Serve with Parsley Almond Rice, Corn casserole, Sue Anns' salad and Huckleberry Pie for dessert.
