2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 sticks of butter
4 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Topping:

1/2 cup pecans, chopped finely
1 3/4 sticks butter
4 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
6 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. minus 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, sugar and salt in a bowl.
In a saucepan, melt 2 sticks of butter. Add 4 Tbsp cocoa, stir well. Add boiling water and allow to boil for 30 seconds. Remove from heat and pour over flour mixture. Stir lightly. In another bowl, stir together buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla then add this mix to the chocolate mixture.
Pour into lightly greased sheet cake pan. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes.
While cake is baking, melt remaining butter in a saucepan. Add remaining cocoa. Stir until mixed well, then turn off heat. Add milk, vanilla and powdered sugar. Add nuts and pour over warm cake.
