1 cup butter flavor crisco
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all together form into balls place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with the end of a glass dipped in sugar and bake for six to seven minutes at 375 degrees.

A favorite recipe that my sister Lupe Martinez would make and we all loved it. She lost her battle to cancer in August of 2002 and we all miss her dearly.
