11/2-2 lbs round steak cut into 1" squares
1 clove garlic cut very fine
1medium onion -chopped
1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
1 can mushrooms, stems and pieces ( or use fresh)
1 cup sour cream
2 Tbs fat (canola oil)





Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat quickly in hot fat, turn down heat and add onions and garlic, saute, lightly salt and pepper. Add soup, turn down heat and simmer until meat is tender, about and hour. Add mushrooms. Add sour cream and heat-do not let boil. Serve over hot fluffy rice, or parsley buttered wide noodles.

Shauna and I agree that mom had too many recipes with sour cream and condensed soup, but this is one we had to keep in the book! Use Greek Yogurt for a lower fat version, just as good!
