1/2 c. butter
1 c. shredded coconut (optional)
1 c. graham cracker crumbs
1/2 gallon ice cream, any flavor
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1 13 oz. can evaporated milk
1 10 1/2 oz package marshmallows
1 6 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate bits

In large skillet, melt butter. Add coconut and cook carefully until light brown. Remove from heat and stir in graham cracker crumbs. Set aside 1/4 of the crumb mixture. Press remaining mixture into bottom of a 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan. Place in freezer until firm. Meanwhile, allow ice cream to soften. Spread ice cream over crust, and return to freezer. Add nuts to reserved 1/4 crust mixture and set aside. In top of a double boiler, combine evaporated milk, marshmallows and chocolate bits. Cook over low heat until melted. Remove from heat and cool. Spread cooled chocolate mixture over ice cream. Top with crumb-nut mixture. Cover with aluminum foil and freeze.
