Ingredients: 1 C, white sugar 1/2 C. shortening 4 eggs (beaten well) 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 Tsp. salt 1 (16oz) container Hershey's chocolate syrup 1 C. plus 1 T flour 1/2 C nuts Frosting: 1 1/2 C white sugar 6 Tbsp. milk 6 Tbsp. butter 1 Tsp. vanilla 1/2 C chocolate chips Combine the sugar, milk and butter. Bring to a boil and boil for 30 seconds. Remove and add the vanilla and chocolate chips. Beat the frosting occasionally while the brownies are baking. Pour the frosting over the hot brownies. Sprinkle nuts on top.

Directions:Cream together sugar and shortening. Add remaining ingredients. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour mixture into 9 x 13 pan and bake for 30 minutes.

Combine sugar, milk and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook for 30 seconds. Remove from heat and add vanilla and chocolate chips. Beat the frosting occasionally while the brownies are baking. Pour the frosting over the hot brownies. Sprinkle nuts on top. |
