1 c. butter
1 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 c. milk chocolate chips
1 12-oz. can evaporated milk
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and chips together in pan over hot water. Remove the pan with water. Add milk and sugar to chocolate mixture. Bring chocolate mixture to a boil. Boil for 8 minutes, stirring constantly, lowering heat when necessary. Add vanilla. Using a funnel, immediately pour into 2 one-pint jars.

My now 17-year old Granddaughter, Melissa, and I have made multiple batches of Hot Fudge because we both enjoy gifting it. We buy gift bags and package each jar with the bag and tissue best suited to the recipient. This recipe has been submitted with much sentiment because next year Melissa will go off to college. Many miles will separate us, but neither distance nor time will erase the memories we have made making Hot Fudge.
