Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water. Add salt, sugar, flour and butter and knead 10-15 minutes. Let rise until double in size, approximately 2 hours. Grease flat surface. Divide dough in half and spread each half into a large square. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on dough. Starting at one end of 1st square, roll dough rather tightly. Cut into 1-2 inch slices.

Caramel Topping: Make this twice as there will be two pans of rolls. Put brown sugar, syrup, butter and milk together in bottom of a greased 9x13" pan and warm slightly. Mix well. Put 12-15 dough slices on top of brown sugar mixture. Let rise until double in size. Bake at 375º for 30 minutes. Let sit for 10 minutes and then invert onto a serving platter or foil.

The smell of Caramel Rolls baking is a most cherished memory of our Mother, Vollina. We all knew that with each visit we would be treated to freshly baked rolls.
