1 cup sugar
3 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
3 eggs, separated
2 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Blend sugar, flour and salt. Beat yolks slightly; stir in buttermilk and butter. Add gradually to dry ingredients, stirring to blend. Beat egg whites until foamy. Add cream of tartar, beat until stiff. Fold into buttermilk mixture. Pour filling into pie shell. Bake 45 minutes or until set.
