Ingredients:
Ingredients:
*Requires a candy thermometer*
4 cups sugar
1 cup water
1 cup light corn syrup
1 tsp. pure oil flavoring (available in the baking aisle)
Liquid food coloring (not gel)
Powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first three ingredients until blended and cook over high flame to 290º watching closely so it doesn't boil over. Remove pot from flame and add oil flavoring (Use caution when adding the oil as it can cause the mixture to bubble up and smoke). Mix well. Add food coloring drops to desired color and mix well. Quickly pour from pot in streams back and forth over powdered sugar coated cookie trays. Immediately soak hot pan, thermometer, and utensils in hot water to dissolve sugar. Cool candy completely (setting trays outdoors cools them very quickly). Break with a hammer to desired size. Shake off excess sugar. Store in airtight container.
