Mom's Strawberry Cake Recipe

1 pkg. white cake mix
4 Tbs. flour
1 small box strawberry Jello
1/2 box frozen sliced strawberries
4 egg yolks
4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
3/4 c. oil
1/2 c. water


Icing:

1/2 box frozen sliced strawberries
1 pkg. white powdered sugar
1/4 c. margarine

Directions:
Directions:
After mixing cake mix and flour, add Jello, sliced strawberries, egg yolks, oil and water. Then fold in the four stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake at 350º for 50 minutes or until done.

For icing: Combine all ingredients and ice the cooled cake.

Note: I like to add a few drops of red food coloring to the icing to bring out the pink color. I also blend the strawberries really well in the icing until they are almost pureed.
