Ingredients:
Cabbage leaves, steamed until tender (8-10 large leaves)
1 lb. Ground Beef
1 C. Cooked Rice
Oil
1 Large onion, diced
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
½ C. water
2 T. lemon juice
¼ C. Packed Brown sugar
¼ t. Allspice
1 T. Worcestershire Sauce
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder

Directions:
Directions:
After cabbage leaves are steamed and tender, drain on a towel or in a colander.

In a sauce pan, heat 1 T. oil over medium heat and cook onions until soft. Add garlic and cook for about one minute. Remove half of the onions, and place them in a heated skillet with the ground beef and begin browning. Season beef with salt, pepper, and a sprinkling of garlic powder. To the sauce pan, add tomato sauce, water, lemon juice, brown sugar, allspice, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a gentle simmer. Finish browning ground beef, and then stir in the cooked rice, and remove from heat. Allow sauce to simmer until thickened enough to coat the back of a spoon.

Spray a casserole dish, and place a thin layer of sauce on the bottom. Place about ¼ C. of ground beef/rice mixture in each cabbage leaf. Roll it about half way, tuck in the sides, and roll up tightly, and place it seam-side down in the casserole dish. Pour sauce over all of the rolls, cover, and bake for about 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Personal Notes:
I always steam more cabbage leaves than I think I need.
