Bubba's Chili Recipe

2 lbs. hamburger
2 packages of chili seasoning
1 15.25 oz. can of corn
2 40.5 oz. cans of Dark Red Kidney Beans
2 4 oz. cans of mushrooms
3 8 oz. cans of tomato sauce
1 16 oz. jar of salsa (medium)
1 red pepper
1 green pepper
1 large onion

Seasoning A Dash of Each:
chili powder
parsley leaves
garlic salt
Italian seasoning
cinnamon
basil leaves
oregano leaves
crushed red pepper
1 - 2 teaspoons of Red Hot (depends on how hot you like your chili)

Serve with: Cheddar Cheese, Sour Cream and "Tostitos Scoops" corn chips.

In a large skillet start browning your hamburger adding your cut up red and green peppers and onions. Once hamburger is brown and onions and peppers are tender add your chili packets. Mix together.

Place mixture in a large crockpot. Then add your corn, undrained kidney beans, mushrooms, tomato sauce, jar of salsa. Last add your seasonings. Give it all a good stir to make sure everything is mixed well.

Cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Serve in bowl toped with shredded cheddar cheese and/or sour cream. We like to scoop out our chili onto Tostitos scoops, just a perfect bite size.

This is my husband's Bernie Parmelee's recipe. His nickname is Bubba, so hence the name Bubba's chili.
