Directions:
Cut up onions and mushrooms and put in crock pot. Clean chicken and rub the inside with garlic (or just put garlic cloves inside) Fill cavity of chicken with barley. Place chicken in crock pot. Fill 1/2 crock pot with water. add alcoholic beverage of choice (yes, even Natti Light works) . Liberally add chicken soup mix.
Set crock pot like you would for regular Cholent (before Shabbat of course).

Enjoy!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I got this recipe when I was volunteering down in Galveston, TX over winter break. We were invited to families for Shabbat and this dish was so good that I wouldn't leave our host alone until she told me exactly what she did. Plus, every college student is looking for a cheap and easy dish (and the fact that it is made with alcohol doesn't hurt!)
Enjoy!
