Step 1-
1 stick butter
1 Cup sifted flour
2 tablespoons of cold water

1 cup of cold water

1 cup of sifted flour
3 eggs
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of pure almond extract.

Icing
1 cup of confectioners sugar
2 tablespoons of milk
Chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
For step one. Blend like a pie crust with pastry cutter or 2 knives cut flour and butter together until crumbs size of peas are formed. Add water and shape into a ball, cut in half and form 2 oblongs on a parchment lined baking sheet.

For step two. Heat water to boiling add butter to water add extract and remove from heat. Stir in flour until well blended cool slightly add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Divide mixture and spread over oblongs bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes until puffed and golden.

While baking mix 1 cup of confectioners sugar with approximately 2 tablespoons of milk mix until the consistency of icing (add more milk if necessary.) Spread over both oblongs and sprinkle chopped walnuts while icing is still wet.
