1 lb. Chicken
2 c. Basmati rice
6 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
2 Lemon Juice
2 tsp. Red chili powder
2 tsp. Coriander powder
1/2 tsp. Turmeric powder
2 Onions
3 Green chili (finely chopped)
2 tsp. Ginger garlic paste
3 tsp. Pepper powder
2 tbsp. Milk
1 c. Coconut milk
5-6 Cloves
Salt to taste
3 c. Water

Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, chili powder, pinch of salt, lemon juice, milk, cloves, black pepper powder and 2 tbsp oil. Soak Basmati rice for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan, fry onions, 1tsp ginger garlic paste, green chili, Coriander powder, 2 cloves and 1 tsp. pepper powder. Set aside. Cook the rice for about 8 minutes on medium heat. Add 1 tsp. turmeric powder, 1cup coconut milk, pinch of salt.
In a large surface pan, put the marinated chicken, sprinkle some of the onion fried mixture and add a layer of rice on top of it, add one more layer of fried onion mixture and again rice. Now, cover the pan, let it cook for about 20 minutes on low heat. Serve hot with Raita.
