2 c. baking flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1-2 eggs
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. sugar
½ tsp. salt
Butter or margarine for frying or (any cooking oil)

Directions:
In a mixing bowl place flour, salt, sugar and baking powder (hand mix these ingredients well). Break the egg(s) into the center of the dry ingredients in the bowl. Stir the eggs from the center till well mixed; add the milk slowly till you have a dropping consistency. Heat fat in a frying pan; lower temperature to medium-low. Drop tablespoonfuls onto the pan. Depending on the size of the pan, you can have as many as 4-5 at a time. When holes begin to show on the surface of the scone, turn it to the other side. Cook to lightly brown on both sides. If temperature is too high, the inside will not be cooked well. Serve these with tea, coffee, etc.
