2 lb. Hamburg
1 large Onion
1 Green Pepper
1 Hot Pepper
1 tbsp. Crushed Red Pepper
1 med. Can Tomato Sauce
2 tbsp. of Oil
1 tsp. of All Spice ( if you have it from the Portuguese store if not then omit)

Directions:
Directions:
In large frying pan put oil,chopped pepper's and onion's. Add hamburg, crushed red pepper, salt and pepper to taste. Cook until hamburg is fully cooked,add tomato sauce and cook for about 10 to 15 min.
A sub roll is fine but a Portuguese roll is better.

I'm sure we all make it a bit different but this is the basic recipe. I can remember eating this for 50 years. Even though I will be 60 this year I can't remember anything before I was 10. Love Jossie!
