8 oz. fettuccine noodles
c. butter
c. whipping (heavy) cream
3/4-1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
tsp. salt
pepper
8 oz. shrimp or chicken if desired

Directions:
Directions:
1. While fettuccine is cooking according to package directions make the sauce.
2. Cook shrimp or chicken until done.
3. Heat butter and whipping cream in skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently, until butter is melted and mixture starts to bubble. Reduce heat to low, simmer 6 minutes, stirring frequently, until slightly thickened. Remove from heat, stir in cheese, salt and pepper.
4. Drain fettuccine. Pour sauce over fettuccine and add chicken or shrimp, if desired; toss until fettuccine is well coated. Served with additional Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
