2-1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 (12 oz) bag chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In a medium bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda and salt and set aside. In large mixing bowl combine the following: shortening, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and eggs. Once the wet ingredients are thoroughly mixed, add the dry ingredients and stir until flour mixture is completely incorporated. Add chocolate chips, or any flavor chips. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
