3/4 c. white rice
3 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can (14 oz) condensed milk
1 stick butter
1/3 c. raising (opt)
1 T. vanilla
cinnamon (to sprinkle on top)

Directions:
Directions:
Measure rice, water and salt into medium saucepan. Bring to boil; reduce heat to simmer and cook uncovered 40 minutes or until water is absorbed.

Place rice in top of double broiler; stir in sweetened condensed milk, butter and raisins, if desired. Cook in double broiler until mixture has thickened, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
