2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 cup shortening
1 16 oz. jar applesauce
2 eggs
Directions:
Directions:
Blend together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and allspice. Add shortening and applesauce. Mix 2 minutes at medium speed, scraping sides of bowl often. Add unbeaten eggs and beat 2 minutes longer. Pour into greased 9 1/2 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350º for 50 minutes or until done.
