eye roast- approx 3 lb
2 cloves garlic cut into 8 slices
8 whole cloves garlic
oil enough to cover bottom of dutch oven
salt
pepper
dried parsley
6 oz wine (red or white will do)
8 oz can Hunt's tomato sauce
1/2 can water

Directions:
Directions:
Cut slits in meat - 4 on top, 4 on bottom
Put 1 clove garlic and parsley in each slit
Sprinkle roast with salt and pepper
Brown meat in oil until nice and brown on all sides
Add wine and cook about 10 minutes
Add tomato sauce and water
Simmer until cooked - about 1 1/2 hours
Slice thin and serve in its own gravy

This is one of Mom's recipes but I don't really remember her making it, Dad has made it frequently as have we all.
