1 quart ground and drained green tomatoes
1 quart ground cabbage
1 quart ground onions
1 quart ground cucumber pickles (if you have them-if not ok)
1 quart sugar
1 quart vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and add 3 tablespoons salt. Add 2 small red hot peppers (broken or ground) Add 2 teaspoons of mixed pickling spices to ingredients or tied in a cloth and cooked with them. Cook ketchup until tender or tomatoes turn from dark green to light green color. A teaspoon of powdered red pepper may be used if out of pods. This recipe makes 6 quarts green tomato ketchup.

This recipe came from my mother Anna Belle Woods Clark. She had gotten the recipe from a friend and neighbor Roena Buckley on September 11, 1972.
