1 cup shortening
2 cups brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. soda
1/4 cup boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 cups flour
2 cups oatmeal
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup raisins
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening with sugar. Dissolve soda in boiling water. Add soda mixture, eggs, vanilla, salt and cinnamon to creamed mixture. Mix flour and oatmeal together, add to batter, mix well. Add raisins. Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 350º oven for 10-12 minutes.
