1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. instant butterscotch pudding
1 egg, beaten
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour, baking powder and salt, set aside. Cream together brown sugar, shortening, vanilla and egg. Beat in butterscotch pudding mix. Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing well. Stir in oatmeal. Form into balls and flatten with fork. Bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes.
