1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Mix thoroughly butter, confectioners' sugar, egg, vanilla and almond extract. Blend in flour, soda and cream of tartar. Cover; chill 2 to 3 hours. Divide dough in half. Roll each half 3/16 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes; sprinkle with granulated sugar Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 375º for 7-8 minutes or until edges are light brown.
