2 cups butter, softened
3 cups sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups sour milk
2 tsp. salt
6 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. nutmeg
Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs. Mix together salt, soda and flour. Add alternating with milk. Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet. Sprinkle each cookie with mixture of sugar and nutmeg. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes.

To make 1 1/2 cups sour milk, mix 1 1/2 cups milk with 1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar.
