Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 slices sandwich bread
3 eggs
1 Tablespoon milk
salt, pinch
pepper, a pinch
1 tsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix eggs and other ingredients, beating with a fork, pour into a pie plate. Dip bread slices, coating both sides and immediately place in a medium hot iron skillet or hot griddle. Brown on both sides. To serve, top with powdered sugar. Beezie always uses powdered sugar, but you can use granulated sugar or syrup. Rachel likes a little syrup, then powdered sugar. Beezie always heavily greased the skillet with bacon grease (can use butter). Add a little more grease before adding more bread.

Personal Notes:
This was always a family favorite. For a large group, she would use the big griddle built in to her cooktop. The little bit of pepper was a key ingredient that made Beezie's french toast THE BEST! (plus the bacon grease)
