1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp. shortening
1 egg
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup milk
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. clove
1/4 tsp. allspice
Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly cream together sugar. shortening and egg. Blend in molasses and milk. Mix together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove and allspice. Add to creamed mixture. Bake in 325º oven for 10-15 minutes.
