4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 C. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 C. milk, scalded
1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell
Ground nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Blend eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla. Gradually stir in scalded milk. Pour into pastry shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

Bake 350º for 35-40 minutes or til knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on rack and then chill.

Brenda says that, If desired, omit nutmeg and sprinkle 1/2 C. flaked coconut on top unbaked filling. Delicious.
