6 quail birds
flour
1 stick of margarine
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
dash of garlic salt
1 slice of lemon
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper to taste
enough water to make gravy

Directions:
Directions:
Salt and pepper birds and flour lightly. Brown in frying pan in one stick of margarine. Remove birds and place in a casserole dish. Put 3 tablespoons of flour in the frying pan and stir to make gravy. Add water, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, slice of lemon and a bay leaf. Pour gravy over birds. Cover casserole dish and cook at 325º oven for 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Baste birds often. Water may need to be added to have the desired amount of gravy.
