(1) 1/2 cup oatmeal
(2) 1/2 cup brown sugar
(3) 2 sticks softened margarine
(4) 1 cup chopped pecans
(5) 2 cups plain flour
(6) 2 x 12oz jars caramel topping sauce
(7) 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, slightly softened

Directions:

1. Mix together first 5 ingredients, and bake in a 9 x 15 pan for 20 minutes at 350º, stirring every 5 minutes; mixture will be crumbly. Cool.
2. Divide that mixture in half. Put half crumbs on bottom of same pan. Pour 12 oz caramel topping over crumbs. Put the softened ice cream over the top.
3. Pour the other jar of caramel topping over the ice cream, and sprinkle the remaining crumbs. Freeze until the ice cream has reset.
