turnips, peeled and cubed
milk
salt and pepper, to taste
cornstarch
butter

Directions:
Directions:
In a covered saucepan cook turnips in boiling salted water till tender; drain well. Return to heat and add milk. Cook on low. Combine a small amount of cornstarch with a little water. Thicken turnips and add salt, pepper and butter to taste.
