1/2 kg Dry green peas
3 large onions
1/2 C oil
1 head of garlic
1/2 t Ground ginger
1/2 t black pepper
1 t salt
3-4 C water

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse peas in tap water, let sit in water for 20 mins.
Cut the onions into small cubes
peel and mash garlic (I just chop it)

add oil to pan and saute the onion and garlic till golden
add the ginger pepper and salt and two cups water
stir well, cover and bring to boil
when the water boils add the peas and the rest of water and cook 40 minutes on a med-low flame.
