2 lbs. lamb stew meat
1 cup seasoned flour
1-2 med. onions, chopped
3 T Flour
3 carrots sliced
3 cups new potatoes, halved
1-15oz. can tomatoes
1 cup beef broth
1 cup of dry white wine
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup flour
1 T. mixed herbs (parsley, chives, rosemary, thyme)

Coat stew meat in seasoned flour. Brown in large Dutch oven. Remove browned meat and set aside. Add onions and garlic to pot and saute. Add other vegetables and herbs to the pot (bundle the herbs if fresh). Cover with beef broth and wine - mixed with flour and cold water. Mix well and place in 400 degree oven for 1 hour and liquid has reduced slightly. Then reduce heat to 375 degrees and cook for another 45 minutes until thickened. Serve with hot crusty bread.
