1/4 lbs. softened butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
6-8 qt. water
1 lb. fettucine noodles
1 T. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the softened butter in a heavy bowl, beating vigorously until it is light and fluffy. Beat in the cream, a little at a time. Add the grated cheese, a few spoonfuls at a time. Cover the bowl and set it aside. (Refrigerate if the sauce is not to be used at once.) Bring water and salt to a boil in a large kettle. Drop in the fettucine and stir gently to prevent sticking. Boil over high heat, stirring occasionally, for 5-8 minutes or until the pasta is tender. Drain immediately and transfer to a serving bowl which has been warmed in a 250 degree oven while the pasta is cooking. Add the creamed butter and cheese mixture, and toss it with the fettucine until every strand is well coated. Taste and season generously with salt and pepper. Serve with the extra grated cheese in seperate bowl.
