1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp soda
1/2 cup margarine 1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs 1/2 tsp.cr.of tartar
1 tsp vanilla 2 cups flour
2 Tbsp. milk (dissolve soda in milk)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Add milk/soda mix and dry ingredients. Beat well. Roll and cut or put in a cookie press. Bake at 350º until light brown





Marshmallow Topping;

2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup boiling water
1/2 tsp salt

Boil this for about 2 minutes

Dissolve 2 pkgs gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water . Add to above sugar mixture . Add 1 tsp vanilla .

Beat this mixture till very stiff 15 - 20 minutes med - high speed.
Put a large amount of gelatin on a cookie . Roll in coconut, sprinkles or jello powder .

Store in freezer or marshmallow becomes sugary
