3 C. Sugar
2/3 C. Hershey's chocolate
1/8 tsp. salt
3 T. Karo syrup
1-1/2 C. Milk
2 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 C. Butter
1-1/2 C. Pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together sugar, chocolate, salt and milk, and Karo. Cook on "low" heat without stirring to 'soft' ball stage when a small amount is dropped into cold water. Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla and pecans. Let cool. Beat until mixture is thick and loses it shine. Pour into a buttered 9 X 9 pan.

Daddy's fudge was always the creamiest of any I ever ate. He didn't do it often, but he would go into the kitchen, cook up the fudge and we would all enjoy. Daddy didn't eat sweets often but once in a while he got a 'craving' for chocolate especially.
