1 can pitted sour cherries (about 14 1/2 oz)
1 can crushed pineapple (same size)
2 cups sugar
5 T cornstarch
1 cup pecans (pieces)
4 or 5 bananas (average size)
Red food coloring
Whipped cream

Directions:
Directions:
Drain juice from cherries and pineapple.
Add enough water to make one cup of liquid.
Combine sugar and cornstarch.
Put into a saucepan, add juices and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to thicken.
Fold in sliced bananas, pecans and enough food coloring to make as red as desired.
Pour into baked pie shells, top with whipped cream and chill until very firm.

This pie recipe was given to me by my mother many years ago. She would have these pies made for my family when we went home to Texas.
