1 c. all-purpose flour
2/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 t. ground red pepper
1/2 c. butter (cut up)
2 T. milk
rosemary leaves (optional)

Preparation time: 30 minutes and 1 hour chilling

Combine first three ingredients in medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender until crumbly. (Mixture will look very dry). Gently press together with hands until blended and smooth (about 2-3 minutes). Shape dough into two 4-inch logs. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for one hour. Preheat oven to 350º. Cut into 1/4 inch slices and spread on lightly greased baking sheets. Brush with milk. Bake at 350º for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned. Press a rosemary leaf into each warm slice.
